Sign up now for our Needle Felting Class

    Come learn a new skill called Needle Felting.  This needle art form uses washed, bulk wool roving in many beautiful colors.  When you sign up for a class, Country Keepers will assemble a complete kit for you so that all you have to do is sit down at our table and begin to create a whimsical crow on a pumpkin, snowman or primitive style Santa.  Experience the fun of making something with your own hands, as well as getting to know several other ladies in the class. Giving handmade gifts not only saves money, but shows how much you think of the friend or family member receiving the specially made gift.  The designs below will be featured projects for our classes.  Wouldn't they look  great in an aged frame, a hanger for a peg rack  or sewn into a small pillow?   The next class options in November and December will be anounced after our Annual Christmas Open House.  You will need to pay for the instructor's fee, wool and needles.  If you prefer, the other supplies needed may be rented for a small fee, which can later be applied to the purchase price  of those additional supplies. A 25.00 deposit will need to be made to secure your place in the class.  The deposit is refundable with a 48 hr notice (before the class day) of your inability to attend the class. The deposit will be non-refundable if you fail to inform us in the proper amount of time  allowed.I will assemble kits for you to buy so that you don't have to trot all over Austin gathering up everything you need to complete this project. We will strive to keep the class size small to ensure personal attention to each member of the class.  These classes fill up quickly, but we will be offering this class at additional days/times in the future.  Please indicate in the comment section if you have any schedule restrictions and we will do our best to find a schedule to fit your availability. 

If you have already taken the entry level needle felting class at Country Keepers, you might like to take a class to work on one of my original Santa designs, pictured below.  This class will involve some new techniques and we probably won't be able to finish the piece entirely within the 3 hour class time.  You will, however, know how to complete the project once you get home or you can come back to the store at any time to get additional help! 

Our goal at Country Keepers is to mix education into the retail world of timeless American Country designs ,crafts and trades.  And we want it to be FUN!  So, check with us frequently to see what new topic we will be learning about in the store.  This would be a fun thing to do with a friend.  We may even have some sessions at night with a light dinner available.  We are really hoping this new part of Country Keepers will add to your enjoyment of our store.

NEEDLE PUNCH CLASSES We had an absolutely wonderful turnout for our Needle Punch class and have had a lot of ladies sign up for new classes. New patterns   have arrived in the store, plus I have created two for our class use (see images below).  We also have some cameo Punch Needles, threaders and protective cases as well as some very nice Needle Punch books, full of wonderful design ideas.  This is such a fun form of needle work...you don't have to count anything (woohoo!) or measure carefully or be able to sew or already have crafting experience! You'll be amazed at how easy it is and how fast you can work up a pattern.  I hope you will consider joining us at Country Keepers to learn how to Needle Punch, have a fun time and make some new friends!  The next available class times will be announced after the Christmas Open House.  Hope to hear from you soon!

 Country Keepers Original Needle Punch Designs for our Class!

 These are two new needle punch designs I have created for those of you who want to try doing a Santa Claus in one of our classes.  The design on the left is the preferred entry level design and we will be able to learn everything in class to complete this project.
